Hemp Root Tea

Hemp Root Tea*

(from The Hemp Handbook by Gisela Schreiber)

Not only are the seeds and oil of hemp highly nutritious, the roots and stalks also have important medicinal value. Hemp roots are known to have anti-inflammatory properties, which can help treat things such as arthritis and migraines. The roots and stems are also effective diuretics.

Using cleaned and crushed hemp roots, boil in 10 times the volume of water. Drink tea to relieve aching joints and headaches. You can also boil crushed roots and stems into a pulp, once cool, apply directly to sprains and strains.
