WEEKLY RECIPE- Hemp Hummus Burgers

Vegan Hemp Hummus Burgers

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups cooked garbanzo beans (or 15oz can, drained)

4 cloves of garlic

1/2 cup raw almonds

1 cup hemp hearts

1 cup cooked red thai rice (or whatever you have, though this has great texture)

1/2 tsp cumin

himalayan salt (to taste)

Preparation:

  1. Blend garbanzo beans with chopped garlic
  2. Separately blend almonds with hemp hearts, cumin and salt
  3. Combine in large bowl with the cooked rice – mash together mixing well
  4. Form into 8 large patties (or 10 smaller)
  5. Cook over medium-low heat in a bit of oil for 8-10 minutes per side, flipping once.
  6. Enjoy!!
