Quick and Easy Hemp Butter

I can’t think of an easier recipe as all you need are hemp hearts and coconut sugar (other other sugar of choice).
Ingredients:
1 cup organic hemp hearts
2 tablespoons coconut sugar (optional)
Instructions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Toast hemp hearts for approx. 10 mins or until golden brown. (I find by toasting the hearts, the butter turned out with a nuttier taste.)
Remove from oven and let cool (I put in fridge to speed up the process)
Place hemp hearts and coconut sugar in to a high speed blender (I used my Bullet)
Blend until smooth.
Store in airtight container in fridge for up to 1 month.
Variations:
If you don’t care to sweeten it, I highly recommend skipping the sugar. Or you can try substituting honey, cacao or other flavors to change it up.
